Whoever wrote that review about how Crested Butte has much more to offer than other Front range areas with regards to making you a better skier, you're wrong. Here's why. If by jumping off cliffs and surviving is a sign that you're an accomplished skier, than maybe buying a BMW will make you a better driver. Jumping off of cliffs and getting big air is not what helps someone in becoming a better skier. Technique builds muscle memory.Repetitive technical turns, controlled skiing and quick precise turns between trees and in gladed areas is what makes a better skier. Not everyone that skis what Crested Butte calls Double D's runs are in their twenties anymore. Crested Buttes' Classification of snow barren cliffs as "Double Diamond" runs is a disservice to the skiing public. I'm glad that you have improved with your skiing abilities. But don't confuse shear adreline, a ballsy attitude and extreme luck as a sign of accomplishment. Come back to the front range and lets do some turns. Ok? Don't be haten'
