I skiied a 5-day pass at Crested Butte this January 2009 with my good friend. We had an absolutely amazing time. Plenty of challenging terrain as well as easy and intermediate. Lots of fantastic tree runs and you can always find virgin powder somewhere on the slopes! The staff is very friendly, mostly exchange kids from South America, and the town is beautiful, lively, and full of great places to eat and get a drink. Not too crowded, even on weekends during prime season, and we never had trouble with congestion once on the slopes. I highly highly recommend Crested Butte to anyone who is interested.
