Take my word for it...Crested Butte is NOT worth your time. Low snow fall and limited terrain make this resort a place you will only visit once. Known for their steeps, which are very impressive, but marketed as a family resort is a lie to the public. The town which is located down the hill and 15 minutes away from the resort and condos is amazing, full of great restaurants and a old western feel...but the ski resort is lacking. The ski resort's base area has very limited restaurants..in fact i believe there were only two (neither served good food) and the shopping consists of only ski shops and rental gear. This is not a world class resort, coming from the East coast it is difficult to spend 5 days there and is not worth the limited vacation time my family and I have or the money...in fact, I could have spent less money and gone to a real Colorado ski resort. Bottom line...stay away from Crested Butte Mtn Resort.
