Copper is a great ski mountain, once terrain gets open. They are very slow to open new terrain, unlike Keystone and Vail, that open all they can as soon as conditions allow. Copper seems to forget that they are a ski mountain, and should focus on this much more than they do, I tend to not ski there early season as much as the other resorts. On powder days when terrain is open, ski patrol seems to start later than the other resorts as well, and usually does not get the steep slopes open until late morning, which is frustrating when I am there waiting for the first chair to fire up.
