Breckenridge is cetainly a world class resort with enough black runs to keep the advanced skier/boarder smiling all season. The town too is great with a variety of shops and restaurants and enough people about to give it a real buzz. Where Breckenridge needs to invest is in its lift system. I was there 4th to 11th January and the weather was mainly snow and wind with the sun putting in only a little cameo. Life on the chair lifts was pretty misserable. Most European resorts now have covered chairlifts some even have heated seats. If you consider that a Breckenridge lift pass is twice as expensive as an average European one, some of this money needs to be reinvested. Then I would be able to say Breckenridge is the best ski resort in the world.
