I have been to Breck several times and have to agree it is a great place to ski with challenging but not brutal, slopes for all levels. Great town and free transportation. Once there you do not need a car. It is very "family-friendly". Unfortunately that has grown to be a bad thing. Too many little and I mean little kids on slopes on which they didn't belong and without proper instruction. No knock on the resort but there were people hurt in record numbers over Spring Break week. Members of the Ski Patrol told me personally many people hurt indicated little kids crossing the slopes or cutting right in front of them without looking as the cause for their falls. I saw several incidents myself and while a controlled skier, had to bail at least four times to avoid getting hurt. And this was on black diamond slopes! Have no problem with little kids. Mine learned to ski there but on the lower greens where they belonged. Great place to go but keep your eyes open. Too many stupid parents made it dangerous for everyone.
