Went to Breckenridge Feb 2012 with my wife (who is an avid skier). We stayed at one of the slopeside condos for a week and really enjoyed ourselves, despite less than adaquate snow cover.
This was a huge mountain, much bigger than anything we are normally used to back East. While I did enjoy the back bowls (6-chair) and everything off of the T-bar, there was just not enough snow to really get into the bowls from the top of the mountain. As for everything else, we found the trails to be somewhat flat, and had a hard time getting from one peak to another. There looked to be nice gladed terrain off of peak 10, but it was rutted out w/ no snow.
This place seemed to put an emphisis on apres ski and nightlife, and less on just riding. While this was enjoyable (it was our honeymoon after all!!) when we return to CO, we will probably head elsewhere. (A-basin, Telluride, Copper)
Nice mountain though. I am sure when there is alot of powder, the top of the mountian is awesome.
