If you love the bumbs, get over to Grouse Mountain! This is the longest bump runs I've ever skied on. They just keep going and going and going! The rest of the mountain is great. There are very small lift lines. It is worth the drive if you have time. The "Beav" is sometimes icy, but on a powder day, it's really amazing. If you can get some tips from a local, you can find some deep powder. They do have backcountry access gates which make for a fun adventure. However, make sure you go in here if you an expert. The terrain is challenging. The town is great - especially for a family! You never have to get in a car and drive anywhere. There are multiple hotels at the base of the mountain. You can also stay in Bachelor's Gulch at the Ritz. Here, you can ski to Beaver Creek and vice-versa. If you want something more affordable, but you want to still ski at the Beav, look into hotels in Avon. The Christy Lodge is always a good choice.
