2nd day of season: Plenty of fresh powder to the edges of runs. The runs were groomed well, and only the most popular areas got a bit icy. The windchill was a bit brutal, but with all of the snow coming down it was worth it. Great day overall!

Incredible day, as bluebird as it can get. Wear sunscreen! Stay high for powder stashes go low for slushy soft turns & great terrain parks. Snowmass is incredible, longest runs in the country. Nobody's here!! Worth the $25 cheeseburger

Yesterday was interesting and excellent - the alpine express was best before it closed with high gusts - the "Burn" was awesome - Sheer Bliss was great - high elevation and deep soft powder - lower was heavy - wet and vulnerable to compression stops - saw lots of tumbles when folks were thrown forward - they were smiling and unhurt other than pride - cheers Stu

"Sometimes I ask myself if its time to move to a big city. But, Aspen has the culture and the nightlife of a city," says Meredith. "And it also has these great outdoors with hiking, biking and skiing. With all that, there's no place I'd rather be."

After nearly 10 years of riding Aspen/Snowmass, Meredith has her kit dialed. Her go-to ski is the Blizzard Dakota and Helly Hansen is her choice for outerwear, topped off by a Smith Helmet and eyewear from Smith or Oakley. She also likes to keep it local in her choice of poles with Aspen-based Bold Poles. - ©Jeremy Swanson

At first, Meredith's job involved more traditional public relations work like pitching stories to print journalists. As the media landscape has evolved, so has Meredith's day-to-day work. Now her iPhone is always close at hand with much of her time spent telling the Aspen/Snowmass story through social media channels - whether that means responding to questions posed on Facebook, hyping local athletes on Twitter, or snapping powder pics for Instagram. - ©Jeremy Swanson
