love the basin, but do you know anything about how wind distributes snow? you can find a rock that because of the wind, it blew off the rock and collected right before....if you end up in the right spot for the wind direction you could have found at least knee deep powder, and just below a rock where the wind favored could be waist deep.

FYI the vast majority of these posts are not to be trusted. You went from dodging rocks to knee deep powder?? Interesting. I was there yesterday, and while the snow was good, it was certainly not knee deep powder. Midwesterners/east coasters love to exaggerate.
