I live too far away to come here every day
Drove cross country from New England. I don't know why I liked this place so much. Maybe it was because everyone was laid back and having a good time. Maybe it was because it wasn't crowded and there were no lines to get on the lifts. Oh yeah, I liked it because I was 12,000 feet up in the middle of Colorado on a bluebird day with fresh pow everywhere my skis touched!!!! Seriously though, this place is great. Seemingly everyone there is in their 20s-30s and enjoys having a beer after a few runs. Conditions were amazing. My first experience with dropping in off cornices <----fun. Montezuma Bowl on the backside of the mountain has some nice wide open terrain that you can absolutely scream down, unlike anything in the East. A few nice bars around town to check out at night. I dream about coming back here.
