Just made my first visit to A-basin today and I can't wait to make plans to return. I am staying at Breckenridge for the week and made the trip to see what A-basin was all about- and it is about the riding, pure and simple. Although there was not enough snow for the Zuma lift to be open, I found that there was more than enough for me to feel challenged. The pitches were steep, steep, steep! I would say that a blue classification here would easily be a black at any other mountain. But the excellent grooming and wide open run-outs would make a novice skier feel somewhat comforted. Every run was memorable as some of the most enjoyable riding I have experienced. Can't wait to check out what it is like with some more snow. Also, the bar had a great atmosphere, everyone was very friendly, great selection. The deck offers a great spot to check out the amazing vistas.
