There are three attractive, contemporary hotels from which to choose: the Hotel Valle Nevado, with 53 rooms; the Hotel Puerta del Sol, with 124 rooms; and the Hotel Tres Puntas, with 83 rooms. The Hotel Valle Nevado is a deluxe hotel with personalized service, ski-in, ski-out access, spectacular views from east-facing rooms, direct access to the Fitness Center & Spa, and the gourmet La Fourchette restaurant. The mid-range Puerta del Sol is ideal for families or friends and features the Mirador del Plomo Restaurant and a sushi bar, a Kids' Center, a small cinema and direct access to the outdoor pool. Tres Puntas, a three-star hotel, is an economical option popular with young ski teams and skiers on a budget. The Tres Puntas has one restaurant and a pub. Valle Nevado also offers 6 modern apartment buildings, with independent lodging in 1 to 3-bedroom units.

    fine place to ski, but really overhyped

    Pros: nice modern facilities, great for kids
    Cons: obnoxious clientele, lots of learners, too many j-bars
