Air Travel:

Santiago-Benitez International Airport (SCL) receives numerous flights from around the world. The airport is 17 kilometres (11 miles) northwest of Santiago city.

From North America: Direct from Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami and Toronto. The airlines offering those flights are American, Delta, LAN and Air Canada.

From South/Central America: LAN Airlines is the major Chilean carrier and offers regular, direct flights between Santiago and Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil.

From Europe: Indirect flights (stops in U.S) with Iberia Airlines, Swiss, bmi, American Airlines, Aer Lingus, Air France, Aerolineas Argentinas, Lan Airlines, DELTA, and TAP Portugal.

By Car:

Portillo is 164 kilometres (102 miles) north of Santiago, approximately a two-hour drive. The resort is set in the Andes Mountains on the Chile/Argentina border.

From Santiago Airport: Follow Américo Vespucio towards the north. This will take you down ‘La Piramide' and past the Cuidad Empresarial. Exit on the ‘Los Libertadores' highway (just after the entrance to the Mall Plaza Norte). Follow the highway towards the city of Los Andes. At Los Andes, turn right and follow the route to the east through the mountains towards the city of Mendoza, Argentina. Portillo is approximately five kilometres (three miles) from the Chile/Argentina border. The use of car chains is mandatory on mountain roads

Ground Transportation:

Transfers between the airport, Santiago hotels, and Portillo ski resort are available from Portillo Tours and Travel. There is a shuttle available on Saturday and private transfers are available every day. The shuttle bus from Santiago Airport to Portillo costs $70 USD one way; $120 return trip.
