Located in a border area with north the Geneva Lake, east the swiss region of the Valais, and west the Canton of Geneva, the Chablais region has managed to combine a good balance between agriculture, nature, industry and tourism. Between two major tourist centers such as Geneva and the Alps, the Chablais proposes to the visitor a multitude of activities directly related to the mountain or water sports.

Winter, it’s a capital of skiing, from the ski area of Les Portes du Soleil to small mid-mountain resorts. Summer it is a Mecca for dairy farming, including the Abondance, small cow that gives the famous cheese of the same name.
