Very nice crisp bluebird day. They groomed yesterday's very fluffy snow into the hard pack underneath on almost every open trail. Morning groomers were nice and overall conditions should be better Wednesday as the chunks get finer. All of the blue trails were pretty good for April, blacks had more ice underneath with some minor to moderate edge hold issues after the groomers were gone. Coverage was good on all groomed trails with hardly any obsticales. Jester held together very nicely for the whole day due to perfect temps. This was my first visit to Lincoln Peak, and I like the new lodge type of feel as opposed to the more commercial or more run down resorts. They are building it bigger and better day by day.
Any idea why they're not opening High Road or the trail between Snowshed and K1? Seems like there's enough snow to reconnect it to the rest of the mountain. Wondering what is driving the decision to keep it closed off.
Wow the mountain is shrinking fast. Was here two weeks ago and had a blast. Today, what is open is all a virtual ice fest. What's not ice is slush. Snowshed no longer accessible. Trying to find some slivers of positivity but it's getting difficult.
