Today I was skiing with my 7 years old son on Strawberry. A private coach (a male at 50-60yrs old) was teaching a lady to do S turn on a narrow area. They really should have found another wide area to practice this. My son just took two days of school (but he did much better job than that lady) and felt very nervous when passing them. I could feel his nervousness and tried to follow him closely, then the lady hit me and both of us fall down. While the coach pushed me on the ground for three minutes and yelled to me I should watch his client. I was really shocked and my son was scared too. You guys really need to do such practice in a wider area but not expect everybody to avoid you. I understand that his showing attitude was for more tips but it was a hurt to child who was watching everything. He didn’t want to ski any more after this and kept asking me why the coach yelled to us. Sunshine is a nice place and we really enjoyed the last few days here. My son’s coaches are also very professional and polite. But this gentlemen should understand not only your client needs your care, but every visitor should be treated equally.

As a family we've skied here many times, and we love it. The snow is always great and there are lots of different runs and terrains to ski. We are intermediate blue and black run skiers and there are enough runs that we don't have to ski the same run twice if we don't want to. The only downside to Sunshine is when the sun doesn't shine. When the fog rolls in and it's windy there's no coverage at the top as there are no trees and it's very hard to see.
Lots of great snow
Not great when the wind blows

This was mine and my husbands honeymoon trip and the first time to Canada/Banff. We could not have been more pleased with the service from our hotel to the coach drivers who transport you to the mountains to the staff at the resorts, it was wonderful. We will make this an annual tradition.
If you can’t find what you are looking to at Banff, it doesn’t exist.
None for us.

There is so much variability with the trails at sunshine, there are many tree runs, cliffs, cornices etc.And moguls that will burn your legs out before you eat lunch.Although customer service is very poor there, their staff are not very informative and very....stingy when it comes to outside food as I had to put a sandwich away even though I ordered some fries at the lodge. But if you are here just for the skiing it is a great place.

The resort is beautiful, but it is not very customer service oriented. For example, other than the gondola, only one lift has foot rests. The rest just wear out your thighs on the slow trip up the mountain. Also, the attitude of the staff at the Sunshine Burger Company (on March 20th, 2017) had much to be desired. They were not busy and very unfriendly early. I asked to speak to the manager, who was too busy to deal with any complaint, so I posted it here for the world to see instead. Do yourself a favor: Head over to Lake Louise instead. Better food, friendlier staff, foot rests on most all of the lifts, and better marked trails. The grooming at Lake Louise is much better too!
Beautiful Scenery
Only one lift has foot rests

Enjoyable day out, always good snow!
Good variation of runs for beginners and intermediate. Great snow, lots of chairs at the top of the gondola so lines not as long as most hills.
Shorter runs, not as many advanced/pro runs as some other hills.

I just cannot get enough of these tree lines & the incredible variety of terrain! A must visit for 2016/2017 and any other season!
