Was there all Sunday. Silver chair not open, should have been as there was enough snow. Mega lines at the Olympic chair. In the afternoon they closed down one of the two runs open at the top for racing, causing everyone to funnel down the one open run. Lounge at base closed.
Decent conditions, not all the runs open yet, a few rocks in the snow buy, but it was packed. It was like spring skiing today. Clear visibility and machine groomed powder. Definately better than last year.
It is overall beautiful out, but the few runs open were getting very icy by lunch time. We found the only good skiing non icy skiing was in the glades off of the top of the Gold chair, and then someone in management made a bad decision to block off the whole side for race training, when they could have left us an opening across the top to the Glades. That decision basically sent most people heading for the exits as it was just too icy to continue. A little for thought and planning would go a long ways, thank you..
Snow was good. Honestly not as good as I expected. After getting to the hill at 830, it took 2 hours to get our Costco lift passes from customer service, then another 45 min wait in the gondola line. By then everything was tracked out. Good for November though
