Full review

Since 2005 we used to like Northstar the best for overall experience. The backside had great long runs and the apre ski last year with skating and live outdoor entertainment was true fun. In the past few years, our friends refuse to go there since the parking is difficult but we walked down the steps or took the bus. This year however, the walks are longer and the parking is more sparse. Apparently Northstar is going for the big money and placing condos where you used to be able to walk. Now the walk is longer (around the condos instead of a convenient thru walk) and they still have you march through the entire village with the few shops before you can reach the ticket booths and slopes. The parking attendants today at 10:30am said "sorry man, no more spaces" and gave no alternatives. We kept driving ahead anyway and found a whole section of open spaces just 30 yards ahead. No runs on the backside today were groomed. It's becoming obvious the emphasis is on selling condos and not on paying attention to the things that gave them loyal return skiers from years past.
