  Sometimes "close to L.A." is good enough!

  Pros: no frills, great when it snows

  Cons: sketchy lifts, rentals, food

  Fun hill; misleading marketing

  Pros: Fun, steep terrain

  Cons: Patchy snowcover, slow lifts, unusable vertical drop

  I was at Baldy on Feb. 27, 09. They received 3' of new snow 11 days before my visit, so it had been re-frozen many times. The sun softened the exposed snow... Full review

  Best Kept Secret... Really!

  Pros: Trails, Slopes, Lots of Snow... even on NO snow days, real close!

  Cons: Slow lift and unfriendly parking spaces, no night runs, expensive food/beer

  Cons: slow lifts, crowded, people who can't drive...

  Way to keep it on the downlow. This place stinks, slow lifts, bad terrian, bunch of city people who can't ski. People who have 2 wheel drive and try and make it... Full review

  Pros: Great terrain, no lines, easy access

  Cons: Southern exposure, old slow lifts, pricey beer
