I went to mt. high for the first time this January. The fact that is so close to LA is both a blessing (location) and a curse (icy, crowded, full of trash) - Since it's so close, it doesn't get much good snow, so it was very icy. It was also very crowded and full of trash. I figure since it's so close to LA, people treat it like LA and just litter appropriately. I was teaching my friends how to snowboard on the bunny slopes and it was so full of people, there was barely any room to go. On top of the that, the people above us were yelling at us to get out of the way - correct me if i 'm wrong, but the people downhill have the right of way, and if you don't want people falling down in front of you, perhaps you shouldn't be on the bunny slopes?
I don't think I'll be going back, especially when an 8 hour pass is $64 for a weekend. I'd rather go to June.
