Located on the southwest corner of the volcanic Long Valley Caldera on the eastern edge of California’s Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area offers over 3,500 skier and rider accessible acres. Boasting an annual snowfall of 400 inches, 3,100 feet of vertical and the highest elevation in the state of California at 11,053 feet for skiing and snowboarding, Mammoth Mountain owns its name and title of mammoth. Mammoth Mountain features terrain for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities, from beginners and intermediates to advanced and experts. Mammoth also sets the standard with its Unbound Terrain parks, where the top pros in extreme snowboarding and skiing, such as Shaun White, come to train in the Super-Duper pipe and on other features. From LAX, SAN, SFO - Los Angeles or San Diego or San Francisco - flights are just over an hour making it easy access for travelers. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, the mountain also offers Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobile tours, and Snowcat Tours.
