Big wide open terrain, lots of lifts, great nitelife
Windy, icy and needs more coverage, icy
Stayed for 4 days and rode for 3... great mountain with tons and tons of lifts to get you pretty much anywhere you want to go. From the top to the bottom, all runs seemed to be open. The nite crews did a great job of grooming the mountain as best they could. There are still some icy spots and tree runs are all but off limits and will be sketchy until mother nature drops some fresh stuff. It does get windy and cold at the top so dont let the clear blue skies fool you. The face gets blown out by mid day leaving minimal dust on the crust but if you hit the backside or the west side by chair 9, you will find lots of runs with loose snow. Be sure to visit the Mill and have their steak or vegie chili or Tri-tip sandwhiches...hard to beat the quality and taste. As usual, if you chose to buy lunch instead of packing one in, be sure you check the balance on your credit cards..it gets pricey! The nite life is fun and theres plenty do to for everyone.
