Full review

I was a North Lake Tahoe snob from the Bay Area since the early nineties. Discovered Kirkwood a few years ago after a brief hiatus with toddlers. It's about the only place we go now because of the awesome terrain, the best conditions, short lift lines, minimal traffic and more personal feel to it. This week they had 56" of new over four days and arriving by 9:00 we were no more that 5 cars away from the lodge every day. On top of that the set up for family skiing/boarding (advanced to beginner) makes skiing together and still getting your shredding fix possible without having the separate for the whole day. Lastly, the management of the mountain is run with a great attitude. Everyone who works there seems motivated and empowered to do the right thing for the visitors. If it seems out of the way, it's worth it!
