Most of you people are a bunch of whiners. This is a mountain. Its going to be cold, contain hazards, and be difficult to get down. Its one of the largest mountains (4800acres) on the continent. So getting from one side to the other may take some time, just like any other massive ski area (how long does it take to get to blue sky basin at Vail?). Get over the cattrails. I’ve never had to walk a step on one of the trails. If you have a snowboard, well there you go. That’s your problem. Get rid of it.
As for the crowds, try getting on the lift before 10:30. Maybe, get out there when the mountain opens! Ski your a** off for three hours and you wont have to wait in that line to get down the gondola. This place is beautiful. Not many places compare in the world on a bluebird powder day looking out over lake tahoe!
If you want a vacation that is not windy and does not require a strenuous end of day green circle to get to the bottom go to Disneyland and buy some of the overpriced crap they sell!
