Heavenly is 15 minutes from my home so I ski there by default when I am too lazy to drive to Kirkwood. The best vail resort In Tahoe is Kirkwood followed by Northstar and then heavenly. the problem with heavenly is the terrain is mostly low intermediate. advanced terrain is bumped out and icy. they never groom advanced terrain even in horrible snow conditions like Kirkwood does. in addition if you ski faster than 30 miles per hour which most advanced or better skiers do you will be dodging gapers all over the mountain and possibly get your pass pulled. heavenly prides itself on how many passes they have revoked (they have a sign at stagecoach lift saying so). stay away if you are a serious skier or rider
