As an absolute, never-had-skis-on-my-feet novice, I got talked into going to Donner for my first experience, and was expecting pretty much what everyone here is saying about other resorts. In short, I had a great time. The prices were good, the gear was nice and new-looking, the staff helpful to a newby. I took a group lesson, and off I went. The rest of the day all of the staffers who had participated in the group lesson kept checking in on me to make sure I was okay, and to give me more tips. I will definitely go back here again.
