No lift lines, challenging terrain and great snow
Limited accommodation choices
I took my family to Dodge Ridge for the first time to see what this resort had to offer and I left saying "Ill be back". We went on a Saturday and Sunday and braced for the usual crowds and lift lines that are signatures for Tahoe resorts. What we found was never having to wait more than a minute to get on a chair, excellent snow and some long runs that were so enjoyable that the entire family agreed this was a hidden gem. On Sunday it snowed 12 inches from 10am to 3pm and we found ourselves skiing in the best powder this side of Utah and had a blast in the trees. Everybody always talks Tahoe in San Francisco and I am now talking Dodge Ridge.
