No crowds, fresh powder all day long, great tree skiing,
no high speed lifts, but when you ski fresh snow all day long who cares?
I had a chance to ski Dodge Ridge for the 1st time yesterday and was blown away by this hidden gem. Since Dodge is slightly off the well beaten Tahoe path I didn't know exactly what expect. What I found was a sweet area that skis much bigger then it looks on the trail map. Yesterday, Feb. 23, I think they claimed to have received 6" in the last 24 hours, but it was more like a foot from the last couple of days and there was no one on the mountain! With a little bit of effort, and some good local guiding, we skied fresh snow from open to close. After the next big storm I'm gonna "dodge" the Tahoe crowds and rip this place up!
