Hey,
Have been skiing in bansko the past 3 years, think it is brilliant !! just booked our forth holiday back.
The best time to go to Bansko is from Dec-Feb, this is when they have the best snow.
There are plenty of slopes for al types of skiers!! intermidiate especially ;) I think Bansko is good for beginers, the ski school is amazing very helpful and the insturcters are kind and patent !
There is plenty of snow most of the time. You may find that the que for the gondola is long especially in the mornings, well Bansko are building a new gondola so people will get up the mountian quicker. The gondola journey is about 20 minutes and it is quite peaceful and comfortable.
There are Plenty of nice bars and restraunts on the slopes incase you get hungry !! and The Happy End bar accros From the gondola station is good. My favortie bar over there was the Friends or Friendly bar (the name is a bit vauge) but they have a live band singing every night called the snowdogs and they are brilliant
There is also the option of taking the 7km ski road back to the main gondola station or you could take the gondola back. I like taking the ski road back we can do it in 15 minutes,
If you also are not sure weather to take your kids(under about 7 or 8 ) with you, in Bansko you can't go wrong, it couldnt be more child friendly !! ... there is a ski school especially for them there is even a ski palyground !! and if you do put your kids in the school the school provide helmets and illuminous bibs for them !!
If your Thinking of going skiing Go To Bansko !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Give It 10/10 !! :) :)
