I write this Review with the idea that it's being compared to other ski resorts in the area. Holiday Valley is an excellent resort in the southern ontario/western new york area. There are lots of options to choose from on the terrain side of things - from The Wall - to The Galdes, through to the beginners hills. The town of ellicottville is great for eating and shopping. There are limited places to stay, but that's changing with the addition of the condos at the base of the mountain (I say mountain tounge-in-cheek). The lift lines can be a bit long - especially on the weekends. If you're in the area and must hit the slopes - Holiday valley is likely your best option.
