Living in Ontario, across the border from Holiday Valley, we do not have alot of choices. if you would like to drive a little further and go to new York state, a lot fo fun can be had at this resort. A good changein pace and fell from Ontario resorts with at times more snow and "powderey" conditions than we have up here. It only works if the dollar is closer to par. If they did more "at par" kinds of deals there Canadians would go more. Somehow they charge a lot for Lodging there and they shouldn't. They are shooting themselves in the foot for doing so. The night life is amazing and a party always to be had in town. be careful though and read the parking signs. They will ticket your car if you leave it overnight in town if you had too many drinks. Imagine that! You do a good thing and not drink and drive and the ticket you anyway. Good way to make you want to drive after having a nice dinner with wine. There is a good variety of terrain and it changes quickly for all types of skiiers. Other than that, fun can be had there when the dollar is close to par,..Better than Blue Mountain.
