Whitewater has a very relaxed vibe and some excellent skiing, with a pretty good terrain mix for all abilities. Lots of great tree skiing and ample touring terrain just outside the ropes, alot of which spits you out on the access road for an easy thumb back to the base. Chairs are old and slow but who cares, the snow is deep, your legs will enjoy the break and you'll likely have some spirited conversation with whoever you ride up with.
Short on vert and acreage but big on snow.
Hiking gets you to some great spots.
Daylodge food is excellent.
People are friendly.
Nelson = cool town.
Lots of tele skiers.
Worth getting to.
