This was my first trip to Whistler/Blackcomb. So fun, lots of great skiing, long runs and apres ski was super. Got the oppurtunity to do an early Dawn Patrol with Marius on tue morning after a big snow storm. Best $ spent for a great safe tour, rad powder and fun tree lines. I highly recommend Dawn Patrol! Best ski day yet!

This is my 3rd trip to whistler booked last week of Jan hoping to escape any chances of the Pineapple Express . Wrong it’s rained inches and inches of rain, it’s raining from top to bottom. Alpine lifts closed due avalanche risk bottom is mud and the middle is ice or slush. Inquired about carrying over my 4 day epic pass till next year they said no dice. I hate to say it but know if I’ll come back just too much money s to spend for these conditions.

The lines and prices big joke. Respect your time and any budget.

A snow gun equipped with its own generator was installed right in front of Blackcomb's accommodation of hundreds of rooms, and was in operation all day and night. On our sound meter the noise on the balcony remained above 70 decibels even between 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. It was a nightmarish experience. Snow gun itself might be okay but why generate motors that can be heard hundreds meters away over night?

Without Blackcomb Glacier being open its advantage over other resorts is muted

Is a huge, diverse and beautiful place. Uphill access is incredibly good. The weather and conditions are often not great but there is always snow to find.

Spent the week of March 4 - 11 at Whistler Blackcomb. Sunshine all but one day, grooming not the best I've seen, but still quite good. Lines were short if you know how to play them (e.g., don't go to the Whistler Gondola first thing in the AM, use Fitzsimmons chair instead.) Afternoon lines were non-existent. Yes, prices are high, but Whistler is a premier resort, not a podunk mountain. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lifts and gondolas operated dependably with one short delay experience (15 min one day at the Crystal Express lift.) Village has many places to eat from cheap to very pricy, you just have to do some research. Many British and Aussie skiers as well as Canadians. Scenic beauty from the higher mountain slopes is hard to beat. I will return.

I’m done with the crowds in Colorado, I like Telluride but it’s too hard to get to, Utah’s too big of a pain in the butt to buy a bottle of wine. California’s has way too many borders. I like the Whistler vibe the towns fun, and I love the side of the mountain.

At one time a great local mountain for the Vancouver region. Now, Vail and rich shits have over priced the experience for those that made this the mountain it once was.

The line ups are insane here and at $220+ a day it's not worth it anymore. Vale are trying to force the working man out and cater to the rich clientele. Lifts are a joke a theres always huge lines. I'm pretty sure they want you to stop skiing after an hour and spend money in their shops and bars.
