went for 4 days with my 4 children - basically upper intermediates. we are from the east but have skied several areas in utah. this mtn beats them all. the views were incredible. the skiing did not disappoint.
the staff was super friendly, although the lift attendants, unlike the east where they are almost helping you on, tended to be 'hands off’. they are big into recycling. but don't believe the snow depth levels - yes mid to top was well covered but the bottom was thin with numerous bare spots, then again it is mid-april. it has plenty to offer everyone. unlike utah in which most blues had 'tuck' zones or you walk this mtn had good fall lines. at some utah resorts the green were almost an after thought, these were decent. preferred blackcomb, esp 7th heaven and jersey cream areas. the glacier was thrilling. although there were no lines anywhere whistler trails seemed more crowded.
the biggest but minor frustration - i bought the tickets online. why could i not get them at the visitor center OR have a drive up window for prepaids? i had to park in the day lot walk around like an idiot trying to figure out where the ticket windows were - at the gondola (no creekside was closed and blackcomb windows was closed - whistler gondola).
