Size for North America, terrain and accessability
Crowded, it usually has heavy wet snow, expensive, horrible village that is beginning to look frayed around the edges, lift system can't cope with crowds
A vastly over rated area. While it's big by American standards it's not large compared with lots of European areas. It's very crowded, the lift system does not really cope and the snow is typically heavy. When there are so many other places in Canada and western USA that have much better snow, similar terrain, are nowhere near as crowded and which have much more pleasant villages / towns at their base why bother especially when it's so expensive. Alternatively,if you really want endless terrain and serious steeps go to Europe.
