Whistler is a nice town to visit.
We skiied on the road in the gree run, mid section and it just kept raining
The ski conditions are the worst I have seen in thirty years. The glacier area had snow which was a relief because as I rode up the gondola up it was brown. I am not kidding. One issue I had was due to the lack of ski-able terrain mid-mountain, there were many skiers using the family zones and bombing down the runs. So if you have kids who are blue/green skiers be aware it was busy and I was getting grumpy with the ski schools kids racing past us and almost causing accidents.
I have learned at this time of year you need to make reservations to get a table at the more affordable restaurants. So book ahead by two weeks.
It was a pity that the Convention Center was closed on the day of the 31st as the kids were looking forward to playing there. So in the pouring rain, with no snow, the options were limited. We did not take the toboggans out of the car. Take your ice skates instead!
