whistler village is bustling, with good selection of shops, restaurants and hotels. accessing ski area from parking lots is a long inconvenient process paticularly at the end of the day as the free ski bus service stops too early. recent introduction of pay to park [in open] is outrageous. whistler creek is far more convenient place to start a days skiing but if you want to ski Blackcombe start early as it is a long haul. the variety of terrain for boarding and skiing is excellent and the snow is well groomed but many lifts are old and lines are long at the key junction points. the ski pass has become very expensive due to strong dollar and post olympic price hikes
