We are Whistler converts. My wife and I started going to Whistler when our son was about 5 years old. The ski school was a zoo. After a couple of years of that and the hustle and bustle of Whistler we discovered Sun Peaks and haven't looked back since. At Sun Peaks we found the quiet friendly alpine atmosphere we were seeking. We most often stay at the Delta Residences which is only a couple of years old and is condos with complete kitchens rather than just a room. We enjoy having access to all the amenities of the adjoining Delta Hotel. The ski in ski out aspect of any place in the village is second to none. Skiing down the village in the morning on the way to the lift is one of our favorite things. There are some great places to eat (The Steak House at the Sun Peaks Lodge is one of our favorites) but no real loud and obnoxious "night life" but then we are here to ski and relax not get drunk and annoy people so we enjoy the quiet night life that there is like a walk in the snow and a visit to the candy store. There is skiing for all abilities and even on holiday weeks if there are lift lines they are only a few minutes and often times you will find that you have the entire ski run to yourself. We highly recommend Sun Peaks and will be skiing there for years to come.
