A trek to get there; Europe is easier from the East, but I'd go again.

No no snow in weeks but remarkably skiable - everywhere. Had many runs to myself. Runs top-notch, top to bottom, and very fast.
Very friendly staff. Lift tickets inexpensive, for seniors like me. Almost no services at mountain but good value on all the eateries I tried in town, especially The Idiot's Delight. If you don't/can't hike, forget about the bowls until they get lift-served - I hear that's coming. Best aspect for me: I got stronger every day - the opposite of the usual, due to low overall altitude. No acclimation necessary. Worst aspect: 21.5 hours from NYC area, with reasonable plane change times. Even worse on return due to limited Greyhound schedule to Calgary.
