Two trips to Panorama have convinced me there are still little known gems out there worth the effort to visit. The mountain has a very friendly feel to it. The managers obviously love where they work, and the services reflect that in every way. Dedicated snowmaking to prepare for early season FIS alpine races insures that you can ski there in December knowing you can use your good boards.

Once you make it to the summit you will be blown away by the view. With 4000 vertical drop you better have been doing your cardio for the last month.

On-site lodging is fantastic. In many cases it is truly ski in, ski out. Restaurants are limited, but good quality. The locals party like Rock Stars. Watch out for B.C. women - they can put 'em back, and keep smiling all night knowing they will be ready to ski your heart out the next morning. Beware!

Dollar for dollar, foot for foot of skiing this place is great. Get there someday.
