The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games says several venues will open well in advance of the Games. One of those venues is Cypress Mountain's freestyle and snowboard site, which VANOC says will be completed by Fall 2007.

January's World Snowboarding Championships in Arosa, Switzerland kick off a whirlwind year for pro snowboarder Crispin Liscomb. The Championships will be the first in a 10-week run of contests that has the Quebec City native and Whistler local flipping 900s between Switzerland, the U.S., Italy, Japan, Korea, and Canada.
