We went up on Monday at 11 am and were pleased to hear that Grouse had gotten fresh snow the night before. The conditions were warm enough and the snow was heavy but enjoyable. The view was fantastic! Around 6:30 pm, when the shade covered the cut, the snow turned to ice chunks and we left before we could get hurt. I found the food (and especially the drinks) overpriced and the meat in the burger tasted gamey. Line-ups were not too long but it seems that Vancouverites don't know how to merge and don't double-up pairs to get on a quad. The lifties at the top of the Cut were too busy visiting with each other all day that they never once heard us call to slow down the chair for a little beginner snowboarder, trying to offload and he got hurt several times. Also, with the snow turning to ice in the early evening, the half-day pass should start earlier. Otherwise, it's just not worth it to show up.
