A few people don't like powder. Well they should not visit Fernie Alpine Resort. We drove up from Montana last winter and had an epic 4 days of pow. Not only was the snow incredible but the terrain here is amazing. The offering from ridgelines to open bowls to chutes. so much to choose from that we made an effort to find locals and also checked in with the ski patrol as they gave us great info. The town is awesome- old main street with funky shops. Have to say there are few places with scenery like Fernie! we stayed on -mountain in the budget lodging place with an animal name- lodge....something. Well enjoy our secret spot- Was this helpful?
