I spent 2 weeks at Big White with my family and it was a terrific holiday. It's the second time I have traveled from Australia to ski there and I wasn't disappointed. The snow was excellent and the mountain has something for everyone. One of the posts on this forum claims exposed rock, no nightlife, all groomed runs... don't know what mountain you were skiing buddy, but it wasn't Big White. If you don't like skiing powder, don't come to Big White. If you're used to always skiing groomed runs, don't come to BW. It's powder-a-plenty there. (there are some groomed runs but they get powder dusted before first tracks!) Great for kids, some nice restaurants. Could have more shoping and a bigger (proper) supermarket. I have skied several US resorts over the years and the obligatory Whistler a few times, and my favorite destination now is Big White.
