2/9: Best conditions I've seen all season. Machine groomed packed powder which became more powdery after being skied over and broken up again. became icy in parts as the day went on. Smith and tenth were the most packed snow and icy. conifers had best snow. photo taken on conifer
Props to the snow makers at pats. It only feels right skiing the whole mountain because last year you wouldn't have to touch a snow gun to keep a mountain open. Wet machine groomed snow, 65 degrees at hurricane triple!!
went night skiing on a Friday night and it was the worse trails conditions ever. I love gunstock but they definitely drop the ball with their night skiing program. a group of us paid 32 per person just to find out super messy trail everyone was very disappointed. if they going to have a night skiing program they they should budget in grooming for the few trails that will be open.
Pat's deserves an A plus for doing their best in challenging weather. Morning started out machine packed with excellent grooming. Afternoon was spring conditions and 50 degrees. Should be a law against spring skiing on 1/31.
