Skiers and boarders are happily connecting with the terrain in Connecticut with the cold temparatures chillin' for a bit. That's securing February as the best month so far of the 2006/07 season. Massachusetts gets its winter game on hard, now that the cold has settled in, snow is paying a frequent visit and the snowmakers are punishing the terrain with ever-more snow. And since you can't spell "Massachusetts" without "Wachusett" - or parts thereof - give props to the mountain this weeked with two events: the USA Snowboard Association halfpipe and slopestyle competition all day Sunday.
