Sunday May 3rd was a great day! The place was dead and the mountain got really fun and playful right around noon, hard carves and slushy slashes were everywhere. Loads of snow still but the ski-out has been closed for the season! Happy shredding!
There was enough fresh stuff to take the edge off the ice, which started to soften by noon. The coverage is still excellent. There are no lines. The place is literally dead. South Side chutes are showing a lot of exposed rock. Eagle Creek is closed. Gladerunner is showing rock. But Lookout mountain is still very good. Standish is still very good. TP Chutes are now virtually untouched, since they closed the lift.
I have never had a bad day at Subshine. It's the end of Apeil, and while we haven't had the snow that we are used to, it is still just awesome. Tons of launch points. Fun skiing through the woods. The view is phenomenal. No lines. I mean...none. Great day.
Great days Spring skiing. Arrived only from skiing small ski resorts, and in 2 days was master of my domain on the greens lol thanks to a super instructor, Ben. Snow was great in morning on the front and back runs. By mid afternoon the front was slushy, back areas still nice.
Its still ok but they really need to learn how to build a park cause it's the kind of they where park is almost all you do! Park crew; let your creativity go and forget about the "old type" park, build some features that people will remember of and have fun on all day ;)
Saturday was variable. A small amount of fresh snow made some areas pleasant, like Bye Bye Bowl. Other areas were ugly, due to the freeze/thaw cycles, like some parts of Goat's Eye. On the whole coverage is good, conditions variable and temperatures warm.
Today was a bit hard the snow early in the morning, in the beginning of the afternoon we had 2 snowfalls, the second a major one. Early riders on saturday should find nice conditions for this time of the year.
It didn't soften up very much today with cloud and colder temps. Look for warmer temps or new snow before you come! There is still spectacular coverage up there! The ski out is on life support and Hell's Kitchen is closed.
It's springtime at Louise! When that sun hits it's hard to stay away. Stay on the back sode and you'll be treated to Soft snow on piste and cakey on the edges. Just ensure your wax is proper and you're set!
Mostly skied around great divide last Saturday and Sunday. Saturday snow was good. There was fresh snow on Friday evening. Sunday weather was beautiful but late afternoon the runs were getting a bit rough. Watch your speed and don't get thrown off.
