Sunshine has and always will have some top notch terrain. The only variable year to year is the amount of snow, which unless you wanna drive 4+ hours to BC everytime you wanna ski or board, is no better elsewhere this season. The reason you get 100's of dollars in discounts for buying your pass early is because you don't yet know what conditions will be like when you commit your time and money to a resort. You are taking your chances regardless of where you purchase your season pass. That being said, any accomplished skier or rider should be able to have a great time on the mountain regardless of conditions, which by the way have been quite reasonable, with powder stashes maintained since opening as long as you weren't sticking to groomers. Trees and cliffs are the places to be, recently with knee and hip deep snow in places, several days following the big dump.
it was opening day for the dive. only a handfull of people got in before they closed it. the shine is a joke this year. to all you pass holders boycott next year an go else wheres. not worth it... at allllll.
Last Monday and again Wednesday we had great conditions, a few inches of new powder. Thursday and Friday runs started to get skid off, coverage was very thin and icy. Today no new snow overnight, light flurries currently. Hopefully Lake Louise will get some new snow soon. We need it.
