Full review

I'd read about St Anton for years so had very high expectations and in most respects the place lived up to them but I guess I was unlucky as the three days I was tjhere, despite a hige sanowfall, condirtions were lousy as first it was too warm and the snow was sticky and then it got cooler but fog came with it so conditions were louysy. There was also a high avalanche risk so I had to stay on the opiste, as did everyone elsem, so the over whelming memory I have, alas, is of crowds! There were major bottle necks and busy runs so the main challenge I faced was not crashing in to others. I did have my younfg brother with me who was a beginner and we did find enough blue terrain for him despite what others have said, although some blues were genuibnely easy and some had black sections in them so wouldn't suit non-confident beginners.
